"Since the establishment of the Youth Council of the Table de développement social des Collines-de-l'Outaouais (TDSCO), several initiatives in school perseverance and educational success have been implemented. It is clear that there are few concerted and partnership activities for all the school transitions experienced by a child, teenager, or young adult in the territory of the Collines-de-l'Outaouais." (TDSCO, 2021)

The scientific literature confirms the importance of planning a series of activities to support the school transition of the child, particularly their first school transition, the one towards kindergarten at 4 or 5 years old. Thus, the COALITION-Transition Project, led by Mrs. Annie Karina Ouimet, was born. Over a 6-month period, this first step aims to engage multi-sectoral actors in the MRC des Collines-de l'Outaouais towards a common goal, that of promoting a first smooth and quality transition.
