A place for citizens!

October 8, 2024

A Place for Citizens! is an event organized by the Table de développement social des Collines-de-l'Outaouais, which will be held on Saturdays, November 9th and 16th, 2024, in Val-des-Monts and La Pêche, respectively. Its goal is to promote inclusive citizen participation. This event will offer a space for meetings and exchanges between citizens and community organizations.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore various organizations through interactive kiosks. A personality quiz will help them discover which volunteer profile best matches their interests and skills, guiding them towards organizations that align with their preferences, thereby fostering meaningful connections for both parties.

In addition to the kiosks, time will be dedicated throughout the day to dialogue and testimonials. Engaged citizens will share their experiences, offering advice and ideas on how to get involved in community life. These discussions will help participants better understand the impact of their engagement and inspire them to think about ways to contribute to their community.

Finally, alongside the kiosks and ongoing testimonials, participants will enjoy snacks and a free lunch, with opportunities to win participation prizes throughout the day. A Place for Citizens! promises to be a friendly, enriching, and engaging experience for all those eager to take an active role in their community.
